Solidarity Event in Bidou Communities in the Tubas

Generations for Peace organization organized a solidarity event in support of Palestinian residents in the Bidou communities of Tubas, as part of a series of solidarity activities across Bidou communities from north to south of the West Bank. Mr. Mahdi Qadri, the head of the local council for the Bidou communities, provided a detailed explanation of the ongoing events, continuous assaults, and the challenging life conditions of Palestinians in these communities. Also, highlighted the daily violations and extremism by settlers, as well as the organized terrorism they engage in. He discussed the issues of water scarcity resulting from the confiscation of all wells and springs by the occupation and settlers. Mr. Qadri emphasized that water is crucial for the Palestinians' continued existence in these communities, especially since their livelihood depends on raising livestock and cultivating their lands. Also, Ahmed Al-Sabai from grassroots resistance committee emphasized the importance of supporting and endorsing Palestinian resilience on the ground. Addressed the members, and activists, and requested their assistance in conveying the residents' struggles through local and international media channels politically and locally. Additionally, Nicaragua's ambassador to Palestine, Mr. Roberto Milaros, emphasized the significance of freedom and peaceful living. Highlighted the injustice faced by the Palestinian people living under occupation, the constant fear, and the lack of security, particularly in these marginalized Palestinian communities. These events aim to shed light on the daily struggles of residents in these communities, hearing testimonies on the daily assaults by the occupation and settlers. Our efforts strive to deliver aid to these areas and to amplify our media coverage to expose the occupation and its settlers. Residents endure chronic water shortages, a major challenge for these marginalized communities
