Solidarity Event in Bardala Village, Jordan Valley

Generations for Peace and Israeli activists participated in a solidarity event in Bardala village in the Jordan Valley. Participants listened to the local head council of Bardala and other community leaders, who spoke about the difficult conditions faced by Palestinian villagers in the Jordan Valley due to the Israeli army and settlements. Among these challenges is the critical issue of water, which is denied to residents of the Jordan Valley villages. The participants also conducted a field tour with residents, witnessing the oppressive reality of water theft in the village. Also, learned about how the Israeli occupation prevents locals from building or using water wells; any attempt to construct a well is immediately met with Israeli military demolition. Generations for Peace calls on the international community to solve the daily suffering experienced by Palestinians in the Jordan Valley, where there are ongoing efforts to displace Palestinians from their homes. The association will continue organizing future solidarity events aimed at raising awareness about the harsh realities faced by Palestinians due to settlements and occupation in general.
