Solidarity Tour in Silwan and Hai Albustan

Today, over 60 members of Generations for Peace, along with Israeli and international activists, visited both Silwan and Hai Albustan neighborhoods in Jerusalem. Mr. Fakhri Abu Diab, spokesperson for the Jerusalem neighborhoods and head of the Committee for the Defense of Jerusalem Neighborhoods, detailed the conditions and challenges faced by Palestinian residents. Palestinian residents live under constant threat of eviction from their homes, with many receiving demolition orders. According to Mr. Abu Diab, this is part of the Israeli government's plan to displace all Palestinian residents from their homes and villages in East Jerusalem. Ori Orlekh from the organization "Amak Shabih" spoke about legal developments in the neighborhoods of Jerusalem, including Silwan and Hai Albustan, stressing the importance of solidarity with Palestinian residents. Generations for Peace aims not only to express their solidarity but also to inform the international media about the daily struggles of Palestinians who face harassment from both the army and settlers.
