Olive Harvest in Massafer Yatta

GfP participated in a solidarity event to harvest olives in the village of Twaneh in Massafer Yatta. Despite difficulties in the morning when we were initially prevented from entering the village due to an Israeli military declaration that Twaneh is a closed military zone with restricted access, we managed, along with dozens of Palestinian and Israeli activists from various other organizations, to reach the village through rough and challenging routes. This effort aimed to break the siege imposed on the village and join Palestinian farmers in harvesting olives. We listened to Mohammed Rabi, the head of the local council of Twaneh, speak about the daily challenges faced by Palestinian residents and farmers from the Israeli army and settlers. He emphasized the importance of support from organizations and activists in helping them access their lands and harvest olives. The villagers expressed gratitude to Generations for Peace members for their psychological support, which helps residents in their demands for their rights
