Women of Generations for Peace organized an activity to support women and residents in Ein el-Hilweh and Bardala in the Jordan Valley

GfP women conducted a visit to families in the Ein el-Hilweh area to understand the challenges and assaults faced by the residents due to the occupation policies and settler violence. Direct attacks on residents, restrictions on Palestinian movement, grazing, building, and development, as well as the exploitation of natural resources, exacerbate their daily struggles. The residents spoke about their hardships in facing settler attacks, settlement councils, and the demolition policy enforced by the Israeli army in the region. Following this, the women's group visited the village of Bardala and engaged in dialogue with the village women about the suffering caused by Israeli control over water resources and the closure of water openings that are essential for irrigating their crops and drinking. The women's group shared their leadership experience in social and entrepreneurial work, leading activities, initiatives, and events aimed at changing reality and improving living conditions in the area. The meeting concluded with planting flowers at the women's center in the village as a message of towards the right to live in peace and security, and an end to the occupation.
